A beautiful and recently renovated stone house on three floors, over 200 years old and located in a lovely village close to Hvar town with views of the sea and with wonderful sunsets.
The house is situated on a large plot of land with a spacious private parking area, gardens and terraces and a stunning extended pool, ideal for swimmers and for cooling off on the sunniest island in Croatia.
The house takes its name from the old Mulberry tree that grows at the front of the house, believed to date back to the origins of the property itself and which provides cooling shade throughout the day.
The ground floor is maintained as a unified open space with kitchen, dining area and living room, a large open fireplace and a cosy nook to while away lazy afternoons with a good book. The floors are maintained in beautiful travertine stone tiles. There are three double doors leading onto the main terrace running along the entire front of the house, with ample space for a large dining table for the whole family.
On the first floor are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, an open-space living area leading onto a “volta”, a shady quiet terrace at the back of the house.
On the second floor are two additional bedrooms connected by an open gallery overlooking the living area below. The first and second floors are maintained in beautiful oak wood-boards. The original character of the house, with exposed stonewalls, has been maintained throughout, yet the interior has been carefully designed to create a uniquely crafted space of comfort and beauty.
